H2CO -- Formaldehyde

H2CO line at 6 cm (4830 MHz) often shows up as absorption line against the 2.7 K CMB background emission, which indiates an excitation temperature lower than 2.7 K. Such low Tex could be explained either by selective transitions that favor the lower level of this transition or by deviation of the CMB SED from ideal Planck function.
